We are Chesterfield Royal NHS Foundation Trust - #TeamCRH
Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care, delivered by our exceptional people. We know our people are our biggest asset and we continually want to improve how we deliver care and support their health and wellbeing.
Who are we?
- We are an acute hospital providing healthcare and community services for more than 400,000 people across Derbyshire.
- We employ more than 5,000 colleagues across Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Royal Primary Care and through DSFS. Our volunteers support our services and are part of the #TeamCRH.
- We have 500 inpatient beds in our hospital (excluding Maternity).
- We provide a range of General Hospital services, together with an award-winning Emergency Department. We have an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
- We provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities including our Community Diagnostic Centres.
- Our community services are provided in people’s homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high-quality care, advice and support.
In May 2020, as a Trust, we received a Good overall rating from the CQC (Care Quality Commission) with levels of outstanding practice seen in Urgent and Emergency care services, Medical Care (including older people's care) and Surgery.
In the latest NHS Staff Survey (2022), 60% of our colleagues shared what it's like to work at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. 67.8% of colleagues recommend #TeamCRH as a place to work, and 70.5% of colleagues told us they would be happy with the standard of care provided should their friend or relative need it. This is one of our core goals and how we measure ourselves. We’d be keen to hear your views on this – you can share more here (link).
We are working closely with our partners through Joined Up Care Derbyshire (link), Integrated Care System, which brings together health and social care organisations across Derbyshire with the ambition to provide the best care and services for people and make them as efficient and effective as possible.
