Nursing Cadetship Programme
NHS Cadets is a new scheme created in partnership with the NHS providing opportunities to explore roles in healthcare. It is aimed at young people who are from communities currently under-represented within the NHS and St John Ambulance.
The programme offers young people courses to develop their leadership and communication skills, health awareness sessions, and insight into volunteering in the NHS.
The initiative is seeking young people who might not have previously considered a career in healthcare.
To apply, please request an application pack via the Work Experience Team (crhft.
The next programme will run from w/c 8 April 2024 (Easter break) and then again from w/c 13 May 2024.
Nursing Cadet Programmes helps young people develop their skills and support them towards a career in nursing with an interactive experience.
You'll gain:
- Observational clinical experience, watching nursing staff in action
- An understanding of how to pursue a role in nursing
- A certificate you can share with potential employers to help you stand out from the crowd
- The opportunity to meet other young people interested in caring for people with health needs
- The chance to become an ambassador and inspire future cadets
