We’re continuing to build our service and are looking for a team of people who are willing to give their time to help our dedicated workforce continue to deliver exceptional patient care.
All of our volunteers are required to uphold the hospital’s policies. This includes health and safety, confidentiality and equality and diversity.
Volunteers are required to attend the mandatory basic training sessions to be equipped for their roles. They are also expected to attend any additional training required - such as refresher training sessions.
Our volunteers work in many kinds of roles, across various departments in the hospital and community.
This involves supporting hospital colleagues and patients by offer a helping hand or listening ear to make a patient’s hospital stay or visit as comfortable as possible.
We welcome people from all walks of life. If you are over 16 years old, you can apply to be a volunteer.
We also welcome enquiries from people in full time education or work, as we have evening and weekend opportunities.
